Fashion isn’t always about needing clothes, sometimes it’s about finding something you love… that brings you joy and lets you express yourself.

It’s the rush you get from the thrill of discovery: You find a piece that fits great and feels like you, from a brand that hasn’t been on your radar, and you end up wearing it on repeat because it’s THAT GOOD.

This is where we come in. For part two of our “Hidden Gem” series, we bring you our favorite brands under $250—brands that are creating clothes that are classic and chic, offer a great fit, and coordinate with lots of what we know you already own.

Happy shopping!

Minimalist & Modern

  • Marcella NYC.  Featuring luxurious fabrics crafted in Europe, this brand is for those who love minimalism with a twist. We love the comfortable, everyday pieces, and we’re mad for the sexy, night-out looks. Bonus points: It’s woman-founded, mission-driven, and sustainable.

Everyday & Versatile

  • Faherty. Think comfortable cotton pants, linen blazers, and casual spring dresses made from flax. We love the wide selection, clean, body-flattering shapes, and the fact that this is another sustainable brand committed to social impact.
  • Boden. A well-priced, go-to brand for classic, everyday wear, and also a reliable source for weekend wear, well-designed suiting, and special occasion looks. Boden, which has been around for 30 years, has a heritage in sustainable and social impacts, and their selection is only getting better and better.
  • & Other Stories. A mix of seasonal, flirty pieces with timeless appeal, this brand is uniquely designed in three locations with three different style aesthetics: LA, Paris, and Stockholm. No matter your preference - classic, boho, or minimal - you’ll find lots of options here. Sustainable production? Check.

Feminine Details

  • Sezane. Beautiful, feminine, and colorful, with a Parisian sensibility (Oui!). This brand mixes romantic details—eyelet fabrics, lace, soft prints—with classic shapes and the result is incredibly flattering and wearable. Note, they don’t do sales, so if you like what you see, buy it (don’t worry, returns are easy and Six to Sunday team tested).
  • Maeve by Anthropologie. If you like to dip your toes a little outside the box, stylistically speaking, Anthro’s Maeve line is worth a look. Most pieces have details that matter—charming ruffles, single-shoulder blouses, applique, and embroidery—and are offered in lots of different shapes and sizes (including Standard, Petite, Plus).

Brilliant at the Basics

  • Alex Mill. A well-crafted assortment of classic, casual essentials, like woven button-down shirts, khaki pants, a variety of t-shirts, and easy cotton skirts. They’re also known for their great-fitting cotton jumpsuits. Most items come in many colors—so if you love it, you can buy multiples (which we likey).
