“Linda Hamilton arms” were once an enviable cultural phenomenon. More recently, women began “batwing busting treatments” before going sleeveless. Aging fashioned arms as the enemy, and reflexively we’ve put them into hiding.
At Six to Sunday, we embrace the right to reveal arms at any age regardless of resemblance to the infamous limbs of Linda Hamilton – or sleeveless icon Michelle Obama. There is no need to retire sleeveless styles and cover up if we wish to be seen. Appendages deserve the freedom to go au naturel or be enveloped in style. Personal preference rules.
And we’re sticking to our guns, despite the most famous fashion centenarian’s (aka one hundred years old, long may she reign) view:
“Dressing for your age is ‘stupid’… but there are things older women shouldn’t do. They should wear sleeves…” - Iris Apfel
Six to Sunday’s offerings allow your personal style to soar. So take off this season, enjoying the warm months ahead, with our collection of sleeves that best fit you. As Iris has been known to say, “It’s not what you wear, but how.”
We agree wholeheartedly.
