It’s summertime, and let’s be honest, comfort is key. Sure we love a breezy dress, but some days call for the kind of errand running, people meeting, and chore doing that only pants can accommodate.

We’ve gone ahead and pulled our faves—they offer all the comfort of a sweatpant but with enough polish so you won’t feel schlumpy.

Our advice? Look for breathable materials (cotton, linen) and loose construction. And if you feel like going the extra style mile, instead of pairing them with a sneaker, wear them with a pretty sandal (in a color even!), a ballet flat, or an espadrille.

Top your look with a long, cotton duster or jean jacket and you’re good to go.

This is what we call a “slim wide leg” at Six to Sunday. The wide-ish leg that’s slightly cropped (it’ll look good on women with height and will also work for shorties) and is shaped just right. They’re roomy but tailored, and the waistband is the perfect width. We all have a pair and they’re worth every penny.
